The Climate and Capitalism

a discussion organized by the Feminist Think Tank and Syrena Collective. Sunday, November 17th,, 2013 at 18 o’clock at Syrena, 3O Wilcza street (ulica Wilcza 3O)

It’s time to refresh the Polish debate concerning the climate. We will discuss the relationship between the accumulation of carbon in the atmosphere and the accumulation of capital. We will ask, „who profits from both polluting and saving the atmosphere?”, and „who pays the bill”? What influence do cliamte politics have on standards of life and what role do they play in the privatization of nature? What experiences and arguments support the demand that cole, gold, oil and other resources should remain in the ground. How and what concrete alternatives can we co-create?

The discussion will be introduced by Patrick Bond and Ewa Charkiewicz.
